Decription

Red G’s chemical gas systems are provided with the option of TWO clean agent fire suppression systems that protects high value assets from fire and the effects of fire-fighting, allowing normal operations to be resumed quickly with no collateral damage and clean-up costs.

HFC227ea and FK-5-1-12

Chemical gas extinguishing systems are fast and effective with a low space/weight characteristic which is also environmentally acceptable and safe for human exposure.

HFC227ea

is classed as a clean agent which means that it is safe to use within occupied spaces. The safety of HFC227ea fire suppression environments is proven in over a decade of real-world experience and validated by extensive scientific studies. These systems take up less storage space than inert gas systems.

In addition, HFC227ea does not deplete stratospheric ozone, and has minimal impact on the environment relative to the impact a catastrophic fire would have. This fire suppression solution is already working in more than 100 thousand applications, in more than 70 nations around the world.

FK-5-1-12

FK-5-1-12 protects property against water damage caused by automatic sprinklers. This fire suppression gas is extremely environmentally friendly because its atmospheric life is only up to 5 days. So you do not only get to reap the benefits of an environmentally friendly fire suppression agent but you will also have peace of mind that you’re equipping your facility with a green fire fighting fire suppression agent.
FK-5-1-12 fire suppression agent is non-conductive, residue free and non-corrosive. In the case of a fire emergency, you will know there’s a fast acting fire suppression agent on hand that will protect life and property without harming ozone layer as FK-5-1-12 has an ozone depletion potential of zero. If you are curious about the speed of the Novec1230 agent, it’s a clean agent that can discharge and fire extinguish within 10 seconds. This clean agent takes up very little space in comparison to CO2 systems.

Gas cylinders

A wide range of sizes is available, offering a choice of fill capacities to meet specific requirements and ensure maximum economy in installation. Each cylinder is manufactured from high strength alloy steel. The larger cylinders have an optional liquid level device for ease of contents monitoring and improved system maintenance. All cylinders carry TPED approval.

Fiwarec® valves

Fiwarec® valves are designed for optimum system performance, allowing the most economical pipe sizes to be selected, thus lowering installation costs. The fast-opening valves are available in two sizes. The valve design enables simple recharge of cylinders without the need for replacement parts. An easy-to-read gauge on the valve permits the convenient visual inspection of the cylinder pressure.

Fiwarec® valves are actuated by one of the following means:

    • Electric solenoid
    • Pneumatic diaphragm
    • Local manual release at the control head

Nozzles

A range of custom-designed nozzles are available, including 180° wall-mounted and 360° ceiling-mounted types.

Approvals

Red G gas suppression systems have VdS, UL and FM component approval. And exceed the criteria for VdS design approval.

Assured reliability

Red G gas suppression systems are designed in accordance with SANS/ISO 14520 and NFPA 2001 requirements. Our specially developed computer program is used to model two-phase agent flow and ensure that the correct concentration of agent is achieved within 10 seconds throughout the protected zones as required by the ISO and NFPA Standards.
